Two Routes Into Armenia: E-Visa or Invitation Letter

We support travellers on both routes, so your passport's e-visa status no longer decides whether we can help.

1. E-visa — the fast, fully online route. If your nationality qualifies for the Armenian electronic visa, this is the easiest and quickest option: the workflow is simple, entirely remote, and there is no embassy appointment. We prepare and submit everything for you. Check your passport with the official MFA e-visa eligibility tool or the MFA visa information page.

2. Official invitation letter — for passports the e-visa does not cover. If your nationality is not e-visa-eligible, we apply to the Armenian MFA for an official invitation letter instead. One condition applies to this route: you collect the confirmed invitation at an Armenian embassy or consulate. If there is no Armenian diplomatic mission in your country, you will need to travel to the nearest country that has one.

If your country is visa-free for Armenia, you do not need this service at all.

Expected timelines & visa details:

• Document preparation. Maximum 2 working days.
• MFA processing time. 3–7 days (exceptions may apply if the MFA requires additional verification or double-checking).
• Visa duration. We apply for a tourist visa valid for a maximum of 14 days.
• Permitted purpose. Tourism only.

How It Works

1. Secure your private tours (minimum booking required). To qualify for our visa support, travellers must book a minimum of 3 private tours with us. A 20% advance deposit is required to secure your itinerary and initiate the visa process.
2. Submit your documents. Send our visa team your travel and identification documents (see the checklist below) so we can compile your application.
3. Application & preparation. Within 2 working days of receiving your documents, our visa specialists prepare your official paperwork and submit it to the Armenian MFA on your behalf.
4. MFA review & decision. After submission, we await the MFA's decision, which typically takes 3 to 7 days. We notify you immediately once a decision is made, and can provide a valid, unique tracking code so you can check your application status yourself.

Required Documents Checklist

To apply for your visa and secure MFA approval, we require the following from each traveller:

• Tour details. Confirmed dates and the names of your selected Aranor Travel tours.
• Flight tickets. Issued tickets or a confirmed flight booking.
• Accommodation. A confirmed hotel reservation for your stay in Armenia.
• Passport. A clear scan of your valid passport.
• Residence permit. A scan of your residence permit or card (if applicable based on your current country of residence).
• Application form. A fully completed visa application form (provided by our team).
• Additional documents (if requested). The MFA may occasionally require further documentation, such as bank statements or other financial documents, to finalise their decision. We will notify you if this is needed.

• Who is eligible for this visa support service? This service is exclusively available for Aranor Travel clients who have booked at least three of our premium private tours and paid the 20% deposit. We do not provide standalone visa support or invitations without a tour booking.
• Why do I need to book tours first? As a registered inbound tour operator, we must submit your confirmed tour itinerary and deposit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as proof of your travel intent. This demonstrates to the government that your visit is for tourism purposes, supporting your visa application.
• Can I use this visa for business or work? No. The visa and invitation obtained through our service strictly support tourism only.
• How long does the visa process take? Document preparation takes a maximum of 2 working days, and the MFA's decision typically takes 3 to 7 days after submission — though exceptions may apply if the MFA requires additional verification.
• How much does the visa support cost? $55 per person for the e-visa route, or $85 per person for the invitation letter. That is the full price — government charges and our document preparation are already included, with nothing to add on afterwards.
• What happens if my trip is cancelled or the visa is denied? The fee covers the administrative processing of your application. Once it has been submitted to the MFA, it is non-refundable regardless of the MFA's final decision or changes to your travel plans.
• How long is the visa valid, and for what purpose? We apply for a tourist visa valid for a maximum of 14 days, for the purpose of tourism only.
