Mendz Er Complex

A popular ethnographic location in Alaverdi, located on the way to Sanahin. This is an ancient inhabited cave turned into an atmospheric museum-restaurant. The exhibition with life-size mannequins recreates the life of old Lori, and the open terrace offers perhaps the best panorama of the Debed River canyon. An ideal place for photo shoots and getting to know the local cuisine.

Horomayr Monastery

One of the most impressive and inaccessible monuments in Armenia, seemingly "growing" out of the rocks. The history of the monastery goes back to the 7th century and is connected with legends of Greek hermits.
